How to Read a Sports Schedule
Dates, kickoff times and time zones made simple. Never miss a match again because of a confusing fixture list.
The three things every schedule tells you
Every sports schedule, no matter the sport, answers the same three questions. When is it. What time does it start. Who is playing. Once you can spot those three things, any fixture list makes sense, from a football league table to a boxing fight night.
The date is the easy part. The start time is where most people get confused. A match listed at 20:00 in London is 23:00 in Riyadh and 01:00 the next day in Karachi. Same match, three different clocks. This is why you should always check which time zone a schedule uses. The Fawa News agenda does this work for you: every kickoff time is shown in your local time zone, so the time you see is the time you watch.
The third piece is the matchup itself: team names, or the event name for sports like boxing and Formula 1. On Fawa News you can click any matchup to open its event page, where you get the full details and, when our licensed stream feed carries that game, the live player.

Schedule FAQ
How do I read a sports schedule?
Look for three things: the date, the start time, and who is playing. On Fawa News the time is already shown in your local time zone.
What does kickoff time mean?
Kickoff time is the exact minute a football match starts. Other sports say tip off or lights out, but the idea is the same.
Why do I need to check the time zone?
A match at 8pm in one country can be 1am in another. Fawa News converts every time to your local zone automatically.
What does "live now" mean?
The event has started. If our licensed stream feed carries that game, the live player is up on the event page.
How far ahead can I see fixtures?
The agenda shows today's matches first and the coming days after that, so you can plan your week.
